Many treatments can be created and developed from knowing these basic skills, taught correctly and by an experienced therapist/instructor and business owner in the field of massage and spa modalities. These CEUs may be accepted by professional licensing agencies that require continuing education for licensing services. Contact your specific professional licensing agency to determine whether these specific CEUs are applicable. Hours are spent in class and then out in the field. Actual CEU’s are given based on both as well as an ending test, both written and/or practical. Many companies will identify the areas that it would like to see its facility or staff move towards. We go through the thought process and understand what we are working with and what we are doing, our goal… and move on to verbal selling skills, practicing with verbal presentation of the service, take it to the treatment floor and learn how to do it and then they perform it by themselves… hands-on. There will be an online test as well and those wishing a certificate of achievement versus a certificate of completion will schedule to test out in a practical as well (at an additional charge).
